I enjoy thinking about how the media portrays environmental topics and challenges, and how the media influences our perspectives on these issues. This teaching blog provides sources of comedy, art, music, fiction and journalism about the environment. It also contains scholarly research on how the environment is portrayed by the media, and how this influences people's opinions and values. The role of the media in publicizing, educating, and framing the environment is profound. Issues of balance, accuracy, fairness, reporting science, and advocacy are all crucial to advancing environmental progress.
